Erica Kimmel and Nina Manguiri Join Gilbane Building Company to Expand Business Development in Maryland

Baltimore, MD – January 11, 2022 – Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce the addition of Erica Kimmel and Nina Manguiri as Business Development Managers in the Baltimore, MD office. Together they bring over 39 years of strategic sales experience.  Working alongside Greg Permison, who joined Gilbane in 2018, they will support Gilbane’s business development effort for continued growth and expansion in the Maryland market.

Erica will leverage her technical background as a mechanical engineer to support Gilbane’s growing portfolio of life science projects in Maryland and the DC metro area, which includes clients such as AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline. In her new role, she will work closely with operations to enhance and expand client relationships. Erica received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has been in the construction industry since 2005. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Chesapeake Bay Area Chapter and graduated from Leadership Baltimore County in 2020. Erica is also a Certified Energy Manager and LEED AP.

Nina joins Gilbane with experience in the A/E/C industry leveraging industry and market trends to shape consultative approaches, customize valuable solutions and drive business growth. In her role, she will use the experience, knowledge and relationships she’s gained since entering the industry in 2000, to support Gilbane’s growing portfolio of K-12, higher education and commercial projects throughout Maryland. Nina is a graduate of the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) with a master’s degree in business administration.

Both Erica and Nina are actively involved in several additional organizations including, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the Society of Marketing Professionals (SMPS).
