2nd Annual Africa Business Conference 2021

The Africa Business Club at the Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Africa Business Conference, which will be virtual.

The Annual Africa Business Conference is the Carey Business School’s signature event that brings together students, professionals, business leaders, and policy makers from across the U.S. and the African continent who engage in policy and business discussions on topics relevant to the development of the continent.

The theme for this year’s conference is: Rethinking Africa in the World Beyond COVID-19. The conference will explore a range of topics related to the theme including:

  1. Healthcare – Post Covid-19: Restructuring Healthcare Systems in Africa
  2. Technology – Bridging the Digital Divide in Africa Post COVID-19
  3. Development & Finance – Beyond Remittances: Mobilizing the Diaspora to Meet Africa’s Development Needs
  4. Youth Leadership Entrepreneurship Employment Development (YLEED): Empowering the next generation of leaders to foster economic development

Admassu Tadesse, president and CEO of the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank, will give the keynote, and Alex Triantis, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School dean, will give the welcome address.
