Take a virtual tour of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center, one of the highest-volume trauma centers in the United States and a worldwide leader in trauma care for more than 50 years. Each year, Shock Trauma serves more than 7,000 critically ill and severely injured patients, of whom 96 percent survive.
Following the tour, a select panel of Shock Trauma Center affiliated inventors will discuss gaps in the field and the technologies they are developing to improve patient care. Topics include drones, artificial blood cells, artificial intelligence, and more.
