Building a Strong Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship

October 29, 2022 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The Social Innovation Lab at Johns Hopkins University and the Baltimore Entrepreneurship and Leadership Network are proud to sponsor a workshop for social impact leaders. Our first session will be helping leaders focus on how to build a strong foundation for social entrepreneurship. Our goal is to create a space to actively participate, connect, and learn.

  • Special Guests: Brittany Young, Founder B360 and Justin Shaw, CEO of Shaw’s Covenant Custom Clothier
  • Location: Fast Forward U at 320 W 29th St. Suite #200 (next to R House, across the street from the Police Station parking lot)
  • Details: Refreshments will be provided.
  • Parking: There is ample parking around the building. We ask that most guests park in the Police lot across the street where one would park for R House or on the street parking. For guests who need closer parking including handicap spots, they are welcome to park in the lot in front of the building in any space except the spots reserved for Baltimore Glass Company or the zip car spots.

About Guest Speakers:

Justin Shaw
Justin Shaw, clothier, Christian, published author, philanthropist, and influencer launched Shaw’s Covenant, LLC in 2017. Growing up in Baltimore, he struggled with his identity surrounded by the promotion of the inferior nature of men of color. In his young adulthood, Justin realized his personal value lied in his image and faith. As he redefined his professional wardrobe to foster success, he concluded one’s appearance produces opportunity. Shaw’s Covenant hosts Baltimore’s premier clothier experience, cloaking gentlemen in professional garments assisting in their purpose. With clients nationwide, Shaw’s Covenant has been featured in multiple publications and fitted some of the most prominent leaders in the DMV region. Shaw’s Covenant redefines what it means to be a true professional in the DMV area with a unique custom suit experience. Since starting Shaw’s Covenant, Justin has become a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Alumni Ambassador and spoken on multiple national stages. He is now proudly returning to higher education to finish his degree and promote esteemed scholarship.
