Society for Image-Guided Neurointerventions 2nd Annual Conference
June 10 @ 8:00 AM - June 11 @ 4:30 PM
Johns Hopkins at Mt. Washington Conference Center
The SIGN 2019 conference centers on unmet need for effective delivery of therapeutic agents to the brain. It will emphasize the value of advanced imaging to guide neurointerventions and to monitor drug pharmacokinetics from the moment of delivery through initial biodistribution and subsequent clearance from the central nervous system. Head-to-head presentation of various neurointerventions will be essential for understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. The meeting is expected to provide guidance and a perspective for the years to come.
The conference brings together the diverse groups of physicians, scientists, engineers, pharmacologists, and industry from different specialties to focus on the unique aspect of drug delivery to the brain and image-guided neurointervention. The keynote speakers include Professor David Walker, the Director of Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre, at University of Nottingham, UK, a world-renowned leader in the treatment of pediatric brain tumors, as well as Professor Sean Savitz, Director of the Stroke Institute at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
