The Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund (MSCRF) and American Gene Technologies (AGT) invites you to join us for a discussion on the current state of regenerative medicine, the critical opportunities, and challenges we face in this field as we translate discoveries to products and cures. This will be an opportunity to network with 30 plus Maryland cell based companies, entrepreneurs, researchers and industry leaders. We will also provide you with an overview of new funding opportunities offered through the MSCRF programs.

Organizer of Regenerative Medicine: Opportunities & Challenges (#RegMed18)

The Maryland Stem Cell Research Act of 2006 was established by the Governor and the Maryland General Assembly during the 2006 legislative session and created the Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund. This fund is continued through an appropriation in the Governor’s annual budget.

The purpose of the Fund is to promote state-funded stem cell research and cures through grants and loans to public and private entities in the State.

To date, over $139 million and 400 research grants have been committed and for this year (FY2018) the programs has a budget of $8.2 million.
