2022 ISPE Mid-Atlantic Science & Technology Showcase Brings the Local Life Science Community Back Together
You really underestimate how good it feels to see folks in person after you’ve been largely working from your home office…
After 2 (long) years, the widely-popular ISPE Mid-Atlantic Science & Technology (MAST) Showcase was back in person, with excitement and energy filling the rooms as professionals from across the BioHealth Capital Region and beyond gathered at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD.
The event was held on April 5, hosting over 70 exhibitors, career development resources, and educational sessions. Exhibitors included big-name biopharmas such as Kite, AstraZeneca, and GlaxoSmithKline, in addition to service providers such as CRB Group, DPR Construction, and Heffron, just to name a few. Montgomery College and Hood College were also represented at the event, sharing information about their exciting top-notch biotech training programs.
This year’s theme was “The 3 S’s – Sustainability, Security (digital) & Supply Chain”, with three educational sessions focusing on each of these topics. As with previous years, the ISPE MAST planning committee also partnered with a charity to give back. This year’s charity was Driven to Cure, which is working to bring awareness and provide funding for rare kidney cancer research.
Unexpectedly, attendees took to social media to share their excitement, photos, and other event highlights such as after-party networking over food and drinks.
We’d like to extend our thanks to all who attended, as well as event sponsors. The life sciences industry is booming, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year’s event!
If you weren’t able to attend this year’s event, never fear – with warmer weather finally upon us, there are plenty of networking opportunities to come. Be sure to check out and subscribe to our events calendar so that you never miss a beat!
