In its continued efforts to alleviate the negative impact of poverty in Philadelphia, Life Science Cares will host its Impact Reception to recognize its nonprofit partners who are dedicated to improving the lives of people marginalized by poverty and inequity.
Launched in Philadelphia in 2019, Life Science Cares partners with members of the city’s life sciences community and nonprofit organizations to create sustainable change in the area. Known as America’s poorest big city, Philadelphia has a poverty rate of more than 22%. About one in 10 Philadelphians live in deep poverty. Since its start, Life Science Cares has dedicated itself to supporting partners focused on reducing poverty and improving the lives of people in Philadelphia.
The focus of the Impact Reception will highlight the current nonprofit partners of Life Science Cares as they share about their poverty-fighting work.
