People on the Move: Jessie Mastropietro Joins Kymanox as Senior Project Manager

Kymanox, a life science professional services firm headquartered in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, has announced that Jessie Mastropietro has joined the company as Senior Project Manager.

Kymanox provides integrated engineering, scientific, compliance, and project management support to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and combination product companies, helping clients accelerate the development and commercialization of modern medicines. The appointment adds a seasoned device development engineer to Kymanox’s project management team, bringing nearly a decade of hands-on drug-delivery device experience to the firm’s client-facing work.

About Jessie Mastropietro

In her new role, Mastropietro will partner directly with Kymanox clients to help guide combination products and drug-delivery devices through development, drawing on years spent inside a major biopharmaceutical company’s device organization. Her background bridges the technical and strategic sides of device development, spanning early-stage insight gathering, clinical evaluation, and cross-functional innovation leadership, which aligns closely with Kymanox’s model of embedding deep technical expertise directly into client programs.

Mastropietro spent nearly seven years at Regeneron, most recently as a Senior Device Development Engineer in the company’s New Technologies Management group, where she paired delivery devices with pipeline drugs across the oncology and inflammation/immune therapeutic areas. In that role, she led device innovation projects, conducted competitive intelligence and market and user research, and helped define value propositions for combination product programs. Earlier at Regeneron, she led a device-focused clinical trial to evaluate device parameters in human use, contributed to research in ophthalmology and oncology, and served as a technical lead guiding a combination product in the ophthalmology space from design input through design verification.

Before joining Regeneron, Mastropietro worked as an Associate R&D Engineer at West Pharmaceutical Services, where she supported development of a silicone-free primary container, and held a series of production engineering internships at RMS Medical Products, where she worked on failure mode analysis, sterilization testing, and packaging standards. She holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is named on two patents related to needle spacer and subcutaneous injection systems and drug delivery to ocular tissue.

Announcing the move, Mastropietro reflected on her time at Regeneron and her excitement for what comes next: “After nearly seven years at Regeneron, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities to grow as an engineer, work alongside talented colleagues, and contribute to the advancement of novel injection devices. I’m excited for this next chapter, where I’ll have the opportunity to partner with clients and continue learning while helping bring innovative products to patients.”
