People on the Move: Allison King Named Community + Events Fellow at BioBuzz

Allison King has been named Community + Events Fellow at BioBuzz, moving into the role after a year serving as an Event Logistics Ambassador across the BioHealth Capital Region.

In her own words, “I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people in the past year and learn from many more. BioBuzz has given me a platform to grow personally and professionally, and connected me to an incredible network of individuals all across the life sciences industry that I would have never crossed paths with otherwise.”

About Allison King

King brings a background spanning pharmaceutical marketing analytics, government consulting, and life sciences community building to the role. In the newly expanded position, she is leading strategy around the launch of BioBuzz’s new workforce development platform, managing connections between ambassadors across markets nationwide, and building out KPI tracking and standard operating procedures. As an Event Logistics Ambassador over the past year, she supported BioBuzz’s marketing team in planning and executing monthly events, managed volunteer logistics, and built relationships across the life sciences and biopharma communities throughout the region.

King joins BioBuzz alongside her studies as a Full-Time STEM MBA and Master of Science in Healthcare Management candidate at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, where she is a Carey Business Fellowship recipient. She most recently completed a Product Management MBA internship in Global Strategic Marketing at Abbott. Before business school, she worked as a Business Analyst at Pembroke Partners, supporting the USDA’s Farm Service Agency through a multi-agency data migration to AWS GovCloud and the development of Power Apps to streamline data collection across county field offices. She previously worked as an Engagement Support Analyst at PRECISIONxtract, a pharmaceutical marketing company, where she led cross-functional project management and analytics efforts for more than 20 pharmaceutical brands, and began her career as a Business Analyst at PPG Industries, working across its Aerospace and Environmental, Health & Safety divisions.

King holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Management Systems, with minors in Mathematics and Information Systems, from Duquesne University, where she founded and served as president of the university’s Club Field Hockey team.
