(NASDAQ: BBNX) to integrate its Eversense® 365 continuous glucose monitor with Beta Bionics’ iLet® Bionic Pancreas automated insulin delivery system. Pairing a Year-Long Sensor with a Pump That Skips Carb Counting
Eversense 365 is an implantable CGM sensor placed completely under the skin that communicates with a smart transmitter, sending glucose data to a smartphone app every five minutes for up to 365 days; it’s indicated for adults 18 and older, with sensor insertion and removal performed by a healthcare provider. Fingerstick calibration is still required roughly once a week after the sensor’s first 14 days, as well as whenever symptoms don’t match the CGM’s readings or when a user is taking tetracycline-class medications. Paired with the iLet Bionic Pancreas, which delivers insulin automatically without requiring users to count carbs, the integration is designed to combine long-term sensing with adaptive insulin delivery in a single automated insulin delivery (AID) experience.
