Stella Han, PharmD, has joined Madrigal Pharmaceuticals as Director, R&D Scientific Engagement Strategy & Operations, bringing nearly two decades of US and global medical affairs leadership in cardiovascular and metabolic disease to the company as it builds out its MASH pipeline and scientific engagement strategy.

Han joins Madrigal from Bristol Myers Squibb, where she most recently served as Senior Director, Worldwide Medical Cardiovascular, after being promoted from Director, World Wide Medical – Cardiovascular. Before that, she spent more than five years at Merck, rising from Associate Director, CV & Diabetes Medical Education, Global Promotion and Launch Excellence, to Global Scientific Training Director – CV and Diabetes. She also spent nearly three years at AstraZeneca, including as Director, Medical Alignment, Diabetes Medical Affairs, and as Medical Scientist/Associate Director for the company’s Dapagliflozin Medical Affairs team.
Earlier in her career, Han spent nearly seven years across multiple medical affairs roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, including Associate Director, Global Medical Education & Collaboration for the company’s diabetes alliance with AstraZeneca, Associate Director, Met Field Medical Services, Associate Director, Medical Information, and Manager, Medical Information. She began her career as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Rutgers University.
Han holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which merged into Saint Joseph’s University in 2022.
