Esco Lifesciences Group, a global manufacturer of laboratory, pharmaceutical, and medical equipment, has hired Keavan Farsad, MBA, MS, PMP, as Operations Manager and PM Team Supervisor – Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Capital Equipment. Farsad started in August 2026 and is based in the Philadelphia area.
At Esco, Farsad will lead the project management team and oversee operations for the company’s pharmaceutical and capital equipment projects.
Rebecca Andrews Matthews, who worked with Farsad on Takeda’s drug discovery team, said his “deep understanding of both company objectives and the scientific goals” set him apart. She added that he had a knack for turning complex financial data into clear insights that informed decisions on the programs he ran.
About Keavan Farsad
Farsad has spent his career managing complex projects at the intersection of science, engineering, and operations. Most recently, he was Manager of the Project Management Office for Early Research & Drug Development at Takeda, where he managed preclinical milestones for the company’s PKU and Hemophilia A non-viral in vivo gene therapy programs and helped drive the initiative to IND status in March 2023. Before that, he was Manager, Business Operations PMO at Emulate, Inc., coordinating product development between the Bioinnovations and Engineering teams to advance the company’s Human Emulation System and Organ-Chips.
Earlier in his career, Farsad worked on the capital equipment and lab services side of the industry. As Manager, Client Services PMO at Agilent Technologies, he managed laboratory infrastructure and relocation projects for biotech clients including Amgen, Alnylam, Beam Therapeutics, and Moderna, and directed Moderna’s Cambridge headquarters relocation. At Hoffman, he led turnkey laboratory relocations and facility services for clients including Pfizer and Yale. He got his start as Manager, Engineering Services for MATACHANA‘s U.S. capital equipment startup.
Since January 2025, Farsad has also served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Project Management for Northeastern University‘s graduate STEM programs. At Northeastern, he co-authored an ACM CHI 2025 scoping review on animals’ interactions with technology and managed AI-focused classroom projects for the D’Amore-McKim School of Business.
Farsad holds an MS in Project Management from Missouri State University, plus an MBA and a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies (Science/Math), magna cum laude, from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
