Cassandra Pollard joins Millipore Sigma as an Associate Scientist II. At Millipore Sigma, a leading life science company known for its commitment to advancing scientific research and manufacturing, she will be responsible for performing Contract Testing Services (CTS), where she detects evidence of mycoplasma in client test articles. Millipore Sigma, the North American branch of Merck KGaA, offers a fully integrated service organization supporting CDMO and contract testing across traditional and novel modalities. In her department, Pollard plays a crucial role in providing mycoplasma detection services to ensure the safety and quality of clients’ products.

Cassandra Pollard has always had a deep love for science, which has evolved into a strong passion for ensuring the quality of scientific products and methods through her previous career experiences. She currently holds the position of Associate Scientist II at Millipore Sigma, where she is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality in everything they do. In her role, she assists in Contract Testing Services (CTS), specifically testing for evidence of mycoplasma in client test articles. Cassandra recently graduated in the Class of 2023 from the Translational Life Science Technology (TLST) program at UMBC, where she gained comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process from R&D through phase IV and marketing.
