MALVERN, PA. — July 22, 2026 — Agilent Technologies will bring the Biopharma Analytical Innovation Summit 2026, powered by Agilent to the heart of the Greater Philadelphia biocluster this fall, staging a full-day technical summit built for the scientists moving today’s hardest therapeutic modalities from late-stage development into quality control.
The summit lands Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at The Desmond Hotel in Malvern — a DoubleTree by Hilton at the center of one of the country’s densest concentrations of drug developers and contract manufacturers. It is a single day organized around three of the modalities reshaping the pipeline — peptide therapeutics; oligonucleotides, conjugate oligos, and mRNA; and proteins and antibodies — and the analytical science that makes each of them measurable, transferable, and manufacturable.
▍ Why here, Why now
For the Mid-Atlantic’s analytical community, the timing is the story.
The region’s pipeline has tilted hard toward complex biologics and nucleic-acid therapeutics — faster than most quality labs have had a chance to retool for them.
Methods that were fit for discovery now have to hold up under compendial scrutiny. Attribute monitoring is moving upstream. Orthogonal characterization is becoming the expectation, not the exception.
A full day, in the region, dedicated to exactly that gap is rare — and it is the reason the summit is being built here rather than shipped in as a roadshow stop.
▍ What the day looks like
The program opens inaugural address from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) that frames the day around compendial rigor and analytical standards followed by a with a plenary block on three technologies Agilent debuted on the global stage earlier this year,
From there, attendees split across three parallel modality tracks, each led by a subject-matter expert and built around the analytical challenges specific to that modality:
- Peptide Therapeutics — impurity profiling, column chemistry, and UHPLC characterization for a GLP-1–driven pipeline.
- Oligonucleotide / Conjugate Oligo / mRNA — synthetic stability, forced-degradation studies, and enhanced separations.
- Protein & Antibody Therapeutics — intact-mass and multi-attribute workflows, capillary electrophoresis, and orthogonal biomolecule characterization.
Live instrument and software demonstrations run alongside the talks, a panel and open Q&A close the technical program, and the day finishes with a networking high tea, a raffle.
