Discover how Kaci Haslbeck, a marketing student from Baltimore, MD, brings her creativity and passion for social media to the biotech community while balancing her love for singing, reading, and interior design.
How did you get here?
I always knew I wanted a business-oriented career that allowed me to use creativity, collaboration, and communication. I was instantly inspired when I discovered that social media and marketing could fulfill that desire. This inspiration drove me to pursue a marketing degree, which I am currently working on. Growing up in a generation where social media is ubiquitous has given me a unique advantage. I know how to bring a trendy and creative approach to content, and I am eager to share this with the biotech community.
Beyond my career, one of my favorite hobbies is singing. When I have free time I try to read as much as I can. My favorite channel to watch is either HGTV or The Food Network because I am interested in watching interior design, as well as cooking. I have learned people skills and communication skills by working at a restaurant as a hostess for the past three years as well.
What is currently blowing your mind right now?
How much AI has improved and grown!
If you could explain yourself right now in only emojis, what would those be?

I am always laughing or trying to bring laughter and happiness to those around me. I find this very important because life can be stressful, and I feel laughter helps everyone. I am a very caring person. I care deeply for my family and friends, as well as for the work that I do. I am a communicator and believe it is essential to always share my thoughts and ideas with those around me.
If you could travel into the future… what does your LinkedIn Headline say?
In the future, I want to be more knowledgeable in the biotech community. I aim to have my degree and gain more real-life experience, especially in social media and marketing. I believe that technology will continue to improve, making it essential to learn new advancements. My future headline would focus on my ability to create higher-quality content, educate others, network more, use the latest technology, and build an even stronger community around us.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would pick teleportation. I love traveling, but long drives or flights can take up so much time. If I could teleport, it would be easier, more fun, and save a lot of time. I could also visit multiple places in one day, which would be helpful if I had a list of errands. For instance, if I traveled to a new country, teleporting there would give me much more time to explore because of the fast transportation.
