Cytiva has a new face on its Cell Culture team. Claudia Lapcevich has joined the company as a Bioprocessing Product Specialist covering the Mid-Atlantic region, where she’ll represent Cytiva’s HyClone media, process liquids, and serum portfolio for customers across Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
Lapcevich brings more than two decades in the life sciences supply chain to the role, and she’s stepping into it at a moment when the upstream side of bioprocessing — cell culture media, feeds, and the rest of what keeps a bioreactor running — matters more than ever, as biomanufacturers push to scale up production of biologics, cell and gene therapies, and other advanced modalities.
About Claudia Lapcevich
Lapcevich spent over 13 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific, most recently as Senior Sales Training Specialist and Global Purification Sales Coach within the BioProduction Group. Before that, she spent a decade as a Senior Technical Sales Specialist on the POROS/CaptureSelect chromatography line, and prior to that, she worked in the EVOS microscopy and imaging business. She started her time at Thermo Fisher’s family of companies as an Account Manager at Life Technologies, managing government and biotech consumables accounts for more than five years.
Her resume stretches back well before that, too, with technical and inside sales stops at QIAGEN, Lifeline Cell Technologies, Cambrex, and Stratagene, plus an earlier run at Life Technologies as an FBS Specialist. She got her start as a research associate at Genetic Therapy and MedImmune, and even earlier, as a lab technician at Johns Hopkins University — bench-level experience that’s stuck with her through two decades of technical sales. She holds a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in Microbiology, from Virginia Tech.
