People on the Move: Henry Gosebruch Joins ANI Pharmaceuticals’ Board of Directors

ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has appointed Henry Gosebruch to its Board of Directors, effective August 19, 2026. The appointment coincides with the resignation of director Muthusamy Shanmugam, who remains with the company as Head of Research and Development and Chief Operating Officer of New Jersey Operations.

ANI Chairman Thomas J. Haughey said Gosebruch’s “proven track record in corporate strategy and value-creating acquisitions is expected to strengthen” the company’s business development efforts as it transforms into a leading Rare Disease company. Gosebruch said ANI “has the management team, the commercial infrastructure and the balance sheet to take a meaningful next step in its evolution via additional business development.”

Gosebruch brings more than 30 years of corporate strategy, business development, and finance experience in biopharmaceuticals to the board. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Lakefront Biotherapeutics NV (formerly Galapagos NV),a role he has held since May 2025, when the company’s board named him CEO,  succeeding Dr. Paul Stoffels, who had announced his planned retirement the previous month — and tasked him with leading a strategic reevaluation of the business. Before that, he served as President and CEO of Neumora Therapeutics, Inc., advancing the company’s neuroscience clinical pipeline.

From 2015 to 2023, Gosebruch was Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at AbbVie, where he directed corporate strategy, business development, and M&A activity, overseeing more than 100 transactions including AbbVie’s acquisition of Allergan. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years at J.P. Morgan, serving as Co-Head of North American M&A.

Gosebruch holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, is a certified public accountant, and serves on the Advisory Board of Penn’s Life Sciences & Management Program.
