Upcoming Philadelphia Life Sciences Events You Should Know – Late Summer/Fall 2022
Philadelphia’s life sciences ecosystem is vibrant and growing and is one of the more exciting emerging bioclusters in the U.S.
Cellicon Valley already boasts some big names like GSK, J&J, and BMS, to name a few, and has a healthy startup and emerging bioscience environment fueled by the city’s robust university system, headed by the University of Pennsylvania. Add to this a highly regarded Philadelphia region’s talent pool, which was recently ranked by CBRE as one of the best in the nation, and more favorable real estate prices and cost of living than some more established bioclusters, and there’s a serious foundation for the widespread optimism about this life sciences community’s future.
There’s a reason why industry veterans like Bing Yao—who led Maryland’s Viela Bio to an IPO and acquisition by Horizon Therapeutics—chose to locate his new venture ArriVent BioPharma in Philadelphia, and why those with roots in the city have chosen to stay and reinvest in their community, like Tia Lyles-Williams’ growing ventures LucasPye Bio and HelaPlex.
The life sciences event circuit reflects this growing excitement about the future of Philadelphia’s biopharma sector. If you’re a job seeker, an investor, or a stakeholder that’s interested in learning more about what’s going on in the burgeoning Philadelphia biohub, attending some of the area’s upcoming “can’t-miss” events is a great way to learn more about the community and companies that will shape the city’s life sciences’ future.
Here’s a round up of just a few of the upcoming Philadelphia life sciences events and seminars set for the end of the summer through late fall:
