BioIVT, a global provider of biospecimen solutions and research services that supports drug discovery, development, and diagnostics for the life science industry, announced that Rhiannon Shadrick has joined the company as Talent Acquisition Manager. The move brings a specialized life sciences recruiter with a strong track record in medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotech hiring to BioIVT’s growing team.
About Rhiannon Shadrick
Shadrick joins BioIVT with more than eight years in talent acquisition, including five years focused specifically on life sciences recruitment, positioning her to help the company continue building the specialized scientific and technical teams that power its biospecimen and research services business. Her background recruiting for niche, hard-to-fill roles across biotechnology, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals aligns closely with the kind of subject-matter expertise BioIVT depends on to serve its research and diagnostic industry clients.
Most recently, Shadrick spent over two years as Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at MEDVACON Life Sciences, where she led talent acquisition strategy in close collaboration with the President and C-suite, designed the company’s end-to-end recruitment process from applicant tracking system development through onboarding, and recruited highly specialized subject matter experts across biotechnology, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. She consistently beat industry benchmarks, maintaining a time-to-fill of under 30 days and a turnover rate below 10%, while also serving as the organization’s platform super admin and driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
Before MEDVACON, Shadrick spent nearly two years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Neuronetics, Inc., where she led the company’s transition from ADP to iCIMS as its applicant tracking system, trained hiring managers on the new platform, and built out the company’s internship program. She also has recruiting experience from Synerfac Technical Staffing and Observation Baltimore, and spent time as an Assistant Laboratory Technician at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, giving her a bench-level understanding of the scientific roles she now recruits for. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an Associate’s degree in Biology from the College of Southern Maryland.
