Mineralys Therapeutics, a Radnor, Pennsylvania-based biopharmaceutical company developing medicines for hypertension and aldosterone-related comorbidities, has appointed Kristine Peterson and Lonnel Coats to its Board of Directors, as announced October 19, 2026. Both bring more than three decades of experience building commercial organizations and launching new therapies, including in cardiovascular and metabolic disease. They join ahead of the FDA’s December 22 target action date for lorundrostat, the company’s lead candidate for uncontrolled or resistant hypertension.
Jon Congleton, Chief Executive Officer of Mineralys, said the company is “delighted to welcome Kris and Lonnel” as it prepares for lorundrostat’s potential approval and launch. He noted that their commercial execution, operational leadership and public company board experience will be valuable as Mineralys becomes a commercial-stage organization.
Peterson said she’s honored to join at such a pivotal time. Having spent much of her career launching new medicines, including in cardiovascular disease, she appreciates the unmet need among patients whose hypertension isn’t controlled by current therapies. Coats said too many patients still can’t reach their blood pressure goals with today’s treatments, and that lorundrostat has significant potential to offer a targeted approach for hypertension driven by dysregulated aldosterone.
