BALTIMORE, MD – November 17, 2022 – Haystack Oncology and Longeviti Neuro Solutions, life science companies affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, have signed leases at City Garage Science and Technology Center totaling over 30,000 square feet in Baltimore Peninsula. Additionally, Launchport has expanded their operations by 6,200-sf.

Haystack Oncology, which will occupy over 20,000-sf, is a cancer diagnostics company that is aiming to dramatically improve the personalization of care for patients with cancer. Haystack will locate its diagnostic laboratories and offices in this space. Longeviti Neuro Solutions, which signed a lease for 10,000-sf, is a medical device company with primary products including intracranial implants. Longeviti will utilize its space for manufacturing of its devices, research and development, and executive offices. LaunchPort is a manufacturing and medtech accelerator that will install additional manufacturing clean rooms to assist its member companies’ growth in its expansion space.

“It was important for Haystack to stay in Baltimore, close to Johns Hopkins, where so many of the major advancements in our understanding of the complex nature of cancer have originated,” said Dan Edelstein, CEO and President of Haystack Oncology. “In this new space, we can maintain vital links to cancer genomics pioneers and access to individuals well suited to working in complex laboratory environments as we scale our diagnostic testing services to improve outcomes for patients with cancer,”

“We look forward to working with these Baltimore-grown life science companies to help them achieve their scientific missions at City Garage Science and Technology Center,” said Matthew Brown, Principal at South Duvall, the owners of the building. “We have long known that Baltimore is a hub for scientific research. Having Haystack Oncology and Longeviti Neuro Solutions in the City to continue their growth is a major achievement that would not have happened but for the investment South Duvall has made into City Garage Science and Technology Center,” said Colin Tarbert, CEO of Baltimore Development Corporation.

“LaunchPort is growing and has strategic relationships with many life science companies across the US,” said Bob Storey, Managing Partner of The LaunchPort. “City Garage Science and Technology Center is unique, clustering both medtech and biotech commercial ventures under one roof. Its growth will only help us increase exciting opportunities for our collaborations and growth.”
