Potomac’s IGC Pharma Unveils PRISM™ AI Platform to Turn Alzheimer’s Risk Prediction Into Brain-Health Action

IGC Pharma, a Potomac, Maryland-based clinical-stage biotechnology company developing Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics and AI-enabled healthcare technologies, announced on October 13, 2026 the introduction of PRISM™, a new application layer for its patent-pending MINT-AD™ Alzheimer’s AI platform. PRISM™ is designed to bring MINT-AD™ closer to real-world use, including early Alzheimer’s risk stratification, cognitive health tracking, clinical trial optimization, and personalized brain-health programs.

“PRISM™ is the next step in our Alzheimer’s AI strategy,” said Ram Mukunda, Chief Executive Officer of IGC Pharma. “MINT-AD™ was designed to help identify risk and forecast cognitive decline. PRISM™ is designed to move those insights into action through structured workflows that may support individuals, clinicians, care teams, and commercial partners seeking earlier, more informed approaches to brain health. We believe PRISM™ has the potential to address a significant gap between Alzheimer’s risk prediction and practical intervention.”

From Prediction Toward Action

MINT-AD™, IGC’s Multimodal Interpretable Transformer for Alzheimer’s, is designed to identify and stratify Alzheimer’s risk, forecast cognitive decline, and generate interpretable risk insights from health, demographic, lifestyle, cognitive, and other data. PRISM™ connects those predictions to practical applications:

  • Early risk assessment: AI-supported identification of individuals who may benefit from further clinical evaluation.
  • Cognitive health monitoring: longitudinal workflows for tracking brain-health indicators over time.
  • Clinical trial optimization: potential uses in patient stratification, recruitment, and research workflows.
  • Healthcare provider integration: structured information and monitoring workflows for physician practices, memory clinics, and care teams.
  • Consumer brain health: potential online programs for education, risk-factor intake, engagement, and monitoring.

Alzheimer’s-related changes can begin years before noticeable cognitive impairment, and many people with early memory concerns or elevated risk factors lack a clear path to assessment, monitoring, or intervention. PRISM™ is designed to help identify those individuals earlier and connect them to structured brain-health workflows.

Exploring Commercial Pathways

IGC is evaluating business-to-business, business-to-business-to-consumer, and online commercialization opportunities. These include licensing PRISM™ and MINT-AD™ to physician practices, memory clinics, pharmaceutical companies, clinical trial sponsors, health networks, and insurers; integrating PRISM™ into existing clinical and consumer brain-health services through partnerships; and a potential direct-to-consumer online platform. These opportunities remain under evaluation.

A Broader AI and Therapeutics Portfolio

IGC’s Alzheimer’s AI work was previously recognized in connection with the National Institute on Aging’s PREPARE Challenge. The company is also developing aha™ (Agentic Harmonization Assistant), a patent-pending platform for integrating fragmented Alzheimer’s and aging-related datasets. In a previously reported internal workflow, aha™ cut data harmonization time from about 28 hours to 2.5 hours, though IGC notes results may vary.

PRISM™ complements IGC’s therapeutic pipeline. Its lead candidate, IGC-AD1, is being evaluated in the Phase 2 CALMA trial for agitation in Alzheimer’s dementia, which recently completed enrollment with 168 participants randomized across sites in the U.S. and Canada. Topline results are anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026.

MINT-AD™, PRISM™, and aha™ are investigational platforms. They are not approved or cleared as diagnostic products and are not intended to replace clinical judgment or provide medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
