The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) announced on September 30, 2026 that it has joined Pharma.Aero as a Strategic Member, representing Washington Dulles International Airport and bringing a new U.S. perspective to Pharma.Aero’s global life sciences logistics community. The new membership strengthens Pharma.Aero’s presence in North America and connects the network with Dulles and Virginia’s broader life sciences, logistics, and international trade ecosystem. Through VEDP, Dulles joins a global community of more than 100 Pharma.Aero members spanning life sciences manufacturers, airports, seaports, airlines, freight forwarders, ground handlers, and other stakeholders across the end-to-end healthcare supply chain.
What Each Side Gets Out of It
For Pharma.Aero, the new membership creates further opportunities to exchange expertise and collaborate on key challenges shaping pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics — from resilience and international connectivity to innovation and multimodal supply chains. Frank Van Gelder, Secretary General of Pharma.Aero, said: “Welcoming VEDP as a Strategic Member strengthens Pharma.Aero’s network with the perspective of Washington Dulles International Airport and Virginia’s broader life sciences and logistics ecosystem. Their expertise, connectivity and understanding of the U.S. market will add valuable insights to our global community and further strengthen the cross-industry collaboration at the heart of Pharma.Aero.”
Eric Jehu, VEDP Vice President of Transportation & Logistics, said: “Joining Pharma.Aero represents an important step in expanding the visibility and competitiveness of Virginia’s life sciences and logistics ecosystem. By working alongside industry leaders, airports, and supply chain partners across the Pharma.Aero network, we can help showcase the unique advantages of Washington Dulles International Airport and the Commonwealth of Virginia. We look forward to collaborating with fellow members to promote excellence, resilience, and innovation in pharmaceutical logistics and global trade.”
Philipp Coloseus, VEDP Director of Air Cargo, added: “We are excited to join the Pharma.Aero network and represent Washington Dulles International Airport as part of this global community of life sciences and air cargo stakeholders. Through this collaboration, VEDP looks forward to strengthening Virginia’s position as a strategic gateway for pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chains, while fostering new opportunities for innovation, connectivity, and industry partnership.”
What Comes Next
VEDP will contribute to Pharma.Aero’s strategic discussions, collaborative projects, and industry initiatives, connecting expertise from Virginia and Washington Dulles with stakeholders across the international healthcare logistics ecosystem. The addition continues the expansion of Pharma.Aero’s global network and its focus on bringing together complementary expertise to develop practical solutions for increasingly complex life sciences and healthcare supply chains.
