About Maya Yovcheva
In her role at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Yovcheva manages the end-to-end project plans, working with subject matter experts within a multi-disciplined team for key deliverables. Her many years of experience within the company as a tiered scientist will prove valuable for her connections as she will also serve as the internal link and have direct contact with all departments. By managing a cross-functional team and having direct contact with external clients, the projects she oversees will remain on track indefinitely.
Yovcheva has a surplus of science experience and having worked with Thermo Fisher Scientific for nearly ten years, she carries a momentum capable of moving the company even further. Before her promotion, she worked as a Scientist II & III, assisting in the development of protein expression systems and leading R&D activities related to new product development of protein expression and viral vector production platforms. She also spent three years at the Protein Sciences Corporation as a Research Associate II, improving recombinant protein production in insect cell expression. She holds a Master of Science in Medical Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research.
