Upcoming Research Triangle Park Life Sciences Events You Should Know About – Q2 2023

Research Triangle Park is home to a thriving life sciences industry with a plethora of pharma and biotech companies, as well as top research universities, like Duke University, N.C. State University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The region is also home to top talent looking to network with industry peers. Throughout the second quarter of 2023, multiple events will be held throughout the area that will provide ample opportunity for networking and expanding skill sets.

Below is a roundup of some of the upcoming life sciences events and seminars that will be held in Research Triangle Park from April through the end of June.

Research Triangle Life Sciences Summit
April 18, 8:00 AM

The summit will provide an overview of Research Triangle Park’s position as a leading biopharma and biotechnology hub in the United States. The summit will include networking opportunities, including an overview of speculative development and build-to-suit opportunities, the landscape of financing, and if the market is positioned to maintain high absorption with current development pipelines and how that could change in a recessionary environment. The summit will be held at the Royal Banquet and Conference Center, 3801 Hillsborough St #109, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Life Sciences Dreamin’ Lunch and Learn: Research Triangle Park
June 15, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

This panel will highlight trends and tips around topics that are important to the life sciences community. This luncheon is geared toward C-suit and senior leadership professionals who are responsible for sales technology tools, such as Salesforce.com. Attendees will learn from, and network with, other professionals who are seeking more information related to the life sciences industries. The luncheon will be held at Ruth Chris, 7007 Fayetteville Rd Durham, NC 27713.

Women In Bio (RTP) How to Maintain and Improve Your Resume
May 16. 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

During this seminar, participants will learn the tools and ideas individuals need in order to improve their professional resumes and make them more appealing to employers. Following the workshop, participants can network while enjoying appetizers and drinks. The event will be held at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, 15 T.W. Alexander Drive, Durham, North Carolina 27709.

Triangle Biotech Tuesday
Second Tuesday of Each Month

Sponsored by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, Triangle Biotech Tuesdays are held the second Tuesday of each month February through November. Triangle Biotech Tuesday aims to facilitate meaningful connections and relationship-building between local scientists, professionals, biotechs, and academic and non-profit institutions by providing monthly networking events. Triangle Biotech Tuesdays are held at the ARE Pavilion, 21 Alexandria Way Durham NC 27709

Let’s Talk DEI and Networking Event
April 25, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

This event hosted by NCBIO will focus on diversity, equity and inclusion within the state’s life sciences industry. The event features tabletop talks on mentoring, leadership, DEI training and more. The DEI event will be held at The Diversity Movement Office, 4801 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 500, Raleigh, NC

NCBiotech: Aligning Health Care Innovation in North Carolina
April 27, 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

This event provides the health care, life sciences, and innovation community with an enhanced understanding of the strategic priorities and technology innovation areas of interest to health systems and payers. It also serves as an opportunity for health systems and payers to learn about and engage with companies developing solutions that align with their target areas of interest. The third session will feature pitches from healthcare start-up companies curated from UNC, Duke, NC State University, and NCBiotech that have developed technologies to address health system and payer areas of interest.

Annual Regenerative Medicine Essentials Course and World Stem Cell Summit
June 5 – June 9

The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine’s Regenerative Medicine Essentials summer course provides a comprehensive foundation of this field through lectures, special presentations, interactive panels, and networking.
