Celebrating 6 years of LifeBridge Health‘s BioIncubator, the first hospital-based incubator for life sciences and biotech in Maryland! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our milestone event last week in Baltimore, especially our keynote speaker Dr. Paul Gurbel and our startup panelists from Capsulomics, CoapTech and Inluceo.
In just six years, LifeBridge Health’s BioIncubator startups have obtained more than $76 million in funding from 60 grants and amassed an impressive 52 patents in that relatively short time.
But beyond the dollars, grants and patents is the real value of our BioIncubator – the advancement of new testing and treatment options for patients not only locally at LifeBridge Health, but throughout our region, across the country, and around the world.
The work of these companies has brought groundbreaking technologies to market, including gene therapies for cystic fibrosis, an ingestible capsule for early detection of esophageal cancer, and an ultrasound-enabled bedside feeding tube. While it is satisfying to look back on six years of success, it is safe to say we are just getting started. Grateful for our LifeBridge Health Innovation team and our visionary leaders for all your support and hard work behind the scenes to bring the vision to life.
