People on the Move: Shrishti Singh, Ph.D. Joins the University of Michigan as an Innovation Fellow
An expert in the field of molecular biology and advanced scientific research, Shrishti Singh has joined as an Innovation Fellow at the Life Sciences department of the University of Michigan Innovation Partnerships office.

The University of Michigan Innovation Partnerships office, which allows experts in the field an opportunity to innovate the field of science through research in partnership with the University of Michigan, has hired Shrishti Singh, PhD, who is an incredibly knowledgeable and talented scientific researcher focused in the fields of molecular biology. Created to drive “Innovations that connect and transform”, the Innovation Partnership program at the University of Michigan allows researchers a space to turn their ideas into reality, all while offering them a chance to license and commercially launch their projects.
In her role at the University of Michigan Innovation Partnerships Office, Singh will work to drive crucial research that will be used to help a facet of either science or a specific industry. Singh will also likely use the University of Michigan’s startup assistance to turn her idea into a commercial business. She brings a rich background in the life sciences and innovative research which she will use to create impactful products for the use of society in the future.
Singh provides her perspective on her move, “As an academic who got a PhD and then a postdoc, a jump into a different career path did feel scary. I had a lot of self-doubt and apprehensions, but I do think quality of mine helped with this decision. I am never afraid to try new things and to fail. I truly love to learn new things, and I genuinely cannot wait to learn several new things at my current position.”
About Shrishti Singh
Shrishti Singh has had a masterful career in the life sciences thus far, having obtained a PhD in bioengineering and biomedical engineering at George Mason University. She received a $75,000 fund from the Virginia Innovation partnership with Dr. Remi Veneziano in 2023 at George Mason, along with various awards for her graduate papers and dissertation. She has also worked various internships at major organizations such as the National Science Foundation and Radical AI, in which she pioneered new technologies and worked with investors and partners to ensure progress. In addition, she was a cofounder at NIRView Biosciences, where she worked with stakeholders and enhanced product innovation to develop a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical product.
