Pankaj Oberoi’s return to MSD as Executive Vice President of Proteomics Technology marks a crucial time for the company. Having previously served as Vice President of Commercial Assay Development, Oberoi was instrumental in advancing MSD’s proprietary MULTI-ARRAY technology, a platform known for its high sensitivity and reproducibility. This technology enables researchers to profile multiple biomarkers in a single sample, providing essential insights for drug development and medical research. Pankaj Oberoi brings over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology and medical diagnostics sectors. Before rejoining MSD as Executive Vice President of Proteomics Technology, he held leadership roles at renowned companies such as 10x Genomics and IsoPlexis. At 10x Genomics, he served as Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he drove growth strategies for the pharmaceutical and biotech segments. Before that, at IsoPlexis, Oberoi led R&D efforts, focusing on developing innovative proteomics solutions.
Oberoi’s expertise spans diagnostics development, R&D leadership, and commercial strategy. His experience includes launching multi-analyte diagnostic tests and leading proteomics advancements in personalized medicine. Academically, Oberoi holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences and Technology as well as an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Michigan Institute of Technology. His impressive educational background prepares him well to lead MSD’s proteomics initiatives in drug development and healthcare innovation.
